What We do

Clean for Green initiative

Manar Center Clean for Green is an initiative in the Beqaa Valley, Lebanon, aimed at addressing the food scarcity faced by Syrian refugees and the local vulnerable population due to the country’s economic crisis and lack of food production. The program focuses on creating sustainable infrastructure for vegetable cultivation with zero waste and a light carbon footprint. It begins with educational programs for the youth, teaching them about recycling, composting, and seasonal planting. The initiative also involves establishing water channels and small farms, while promoting clean recycling practices and the use of natural fertilizers.
Additionally, the program aims to restore Lebanon’s heritage and pride by planting Cedar trees in the West Beqaa valley.
By serving as a pilot program, Clean for Green has the potential to be implemented throughout the country, fostering a pathway to cleaner and waste-free living.
